my phrase for a while is 'do the next right thing'
I've been asked, what are your plan? What are your goals? What are you going to do about ___?
My current approach is to listen in to the quiet stillness of my heart and soul and then do what seems to be the next right thing. And it is not like some answer usually appears in that quiet stillness (which may be in tai chi/qigong or art or going for a walk or journaling or meditation).
But somehow, in nurturing that quietness, there's space for a next step to emerge at some other point in my day.]
